NASHVILLE.

Well nuggets, I have a new obsession. That would be the grand ol' city of Nashville, Tennessee. Though we hit awful traffic on the way there and on the way back (they need to do something about those country highways. Stat.) it was a WONDERFUL weekend.

We stayed on Vanderbilt's campus, which almost matches Miami University's awesomeness. Almost. A quick shuttle ride away took us to the downtown area, which is home to all of the famous restaurants and bars, the Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, CMT and more. My friend was running the Nashville Country Music half-marathon and we wanted to go and see her, but unfortuately there are rules about bringing bags to the finish line now, and we couldn't meet them down there. That was a bummer, but we were in Nashville so we didn't let it bother us!

We went to some great restaurants, including Rippy's where they have food, drinks and oh, um LIVE MUSIC from a different band in each section of the restaurant. How cool. What was awesome is we walked into a bar at 11:30 am and there was a rocking band playing. They take requests and are just awesome. It truly amazes me how many talented performers there are. Some of these singers/musicians won't ever become country stars, yet they are just as talented as they are. I was awe-struck by the talent some of the musicians I saw this weekend. Especially Marisa McKaye, a 9 year old who sounds like she's 25. Marisa performed at Honky Tonk Central and I was literally flabbergasted about how good she was. I hope she becomes famous some day!

All in all, I love Nashville, and I am already planning my next trip there. The place is centered around music, which is one of my favorite things in the world. Who wouldn't love that! Happy Wednesday ya'll!
