Corpus Christi

Hey ya'll! As I mentioned yesterday, I've been in Corpus Christi the last few days! I visited my best friend from high school, Drew and our other best friend, Lauren, came for the weekend! Drew is a veterinarian in the US Army and is stationed at the Naval base in Corpus. We had a blast! We went to the beach and the Texas State Aquarium where we met Kai and Shadow, two pretty dolphins! Drew had an emergency with one of her military working dogs, so I got to see her in action. It is so cool to see your best friend rock it out as a doctor.

We road on the National Seashore, which is a beach that is a National Park, and where you can camp or drive on. Drew has a Jeep so we drove on that. The terrain was a bit bumpy but it was a lot of fun. We went to some of Drew's friends' house for a St. Patrick's Day celebration and ate cornbeef sandwiches. Very Irish. All in all, I didn't mess with Texas and had a fabulous time!

  4. Looks like a fun little getaway. It's so amazing to be able to see friends and family in action doing what they do best. We always appreciate their careers but it's really cool to be able to see the action take place. Hope you have a great weekend:) Fabulouslyfaint.blogspot.com xoxox Brittany
