Count your blessings

Some days, like today, really suck. First thing in the morning I got in a car wreck. I got hit and somehow spinned out into a Metro bus stop. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and no one was standing in the metro spot. That was a blessing. I am also bummed out because the Luke Bryan concert was postponed till February 21 in Lexington. After this crazy morning, I kind of wanted a great concert to lift my spirits. However, thinking about blessings, I am blessed that now I get to look forward to the concert in February and maybe the weather will be a bit more manageable then.
Life throws you lemons. Turn them into a (vodka) lemonade. No matter the crap that goes on in our lives, and no matter how hard it is to actually do so, its important to remember the positive things in our lives. I am safe. No one else got hurt in my accident. Cars can be fixed/replaced. Lives can't be. Concerts are fun but they aren't life or death. Today, even though I am not exactly a happy camper, I am doing my best to count the many blessings God has bestowed on me, for whatever reason. Sometimes really crappy days can help us remember how uncrappy the rest of our life is.
Sorry for the sappy post...have a great weekend!
