Weekend Update

Hi Christmas elf nuggets! The big day is just 2 days away! I am just looking forward to a day off, since I don't really get any off this year...boo.

This weekend was awesome! It started with the Cincinnati Ballet's Nutcracker on Friday night. I went with my close friend Olivia and her work friends. Its refreshing to be around different people sometimes, that have different experiences. There were a few engineers and a few accountants, and their jobs are sooo different than mine. The Nutcracker was beautiful. The dancers make everything look so easy when they actually are doing really physically taxing moves. The colors, music and movement put me in the Christmas spirit for sure.

On Saturday I went out for my college friend Chaney's birthday. Every year I have had some conflict with it so I was super psyched I could celebrate with her this time. We had dinner at this cool jazz club that I've never been to. It was a bit loud but I loved how passionate the performers were about their craft.

We went out to the Cinci downtown bars afterwards and I tried fireball. As a country super fan, I decided it was time that I try the alcoholic beverage most discussed (after beer of course) in country songs. Hot damn that stuff is fiery. I am not sure how these country boys drink shot after shot of it but I feel like it produces some good tunes. I on the other hand, will not be using fireball for inspiration any time soon...but I crossed it off my bucket list:)

Tonight is our annual high school Christmas party. I am excited to see some high school ladies that don't live around hurr. Hope everyone is driving safely, especially with these nutty last minute shopper drivers. It ain't my fault they procrastinated! Enjoy your Christmas week everyone!
