Baby Mama (Girl) Drama

As I have mentioned before, one of my greatest passions in this world are reality television shows. Usually about women. The reason other women, including myself, watch these ridiculous programs is because of the DrAmA. Everyone remembers Teresa Guidice flipping over a table calling Danielle a "prostitution whore", an insult I have spent years trying to find the true definition of. We love when NeNe Leakes calls Kim Zolciak "Wig".  I especially was giddy with delight when Heather went postal on "Sarah" for snatching an icing bow off her "I am taking my husband's last name officially after 15 years of marriage but Bravo just wanted to get all of the girls together to cause drama" party.

Case in point. Drama is fun to watch on TV. It's not so fun when it becomes your reality. I have been hearing about a LOT of girl drama, which is odd because I am getting old.  Lies, talking behind frie(nemy)'s back, deception, name calling, you name it, happen in real life. Daily. I am  blessed that I don't have much drama with my girlfriends (typically that is only with the opposite sex and that is for another day, another post..) I am still friends with my high school friends and friends from college. Am I thrilled with each of them everyday? Probably not. But more often than not, they make me happy, not sad. And they aren't spreading horrific things about me, to the best of my knowledge.

I don't want to get into specifics because I want to protect the stories my friends have shared with me (sensitive blogger right hurr) but I am disgusted at some of the drama I have heard. How can real life people treat each other this way?

have one friend that says "a lot of girls together doesn't work". went to an all girl's school, which is proof that it can and does work, everyday. Sure there were petty fights and gossip, but at the end of the day...even 8 years after we graduated, I can count on these girls (and my more recent friends) to build me up or make me laugh.

I think my friend meant that girls, even girls that are supposedly "friends" are inherently hostile towards each other for some particular reason. I don't really know because it hasn't really happened to me. It makes me sad because it kind of fits the stereotype that is portrayed on my beloved TV shows that women are horrible to each other. Tell me...what are your thoughts on this?!

I just think we should all listen to the song Wings, by Little Mix, because it tells us to be nice to each other and not care about what others say about us. I just wish that nasty girl habit didn't exist.

Don't let what they say keep you up at night, and they can't detain you, these wings were made to fly! Wings by Little Mix on Grooveshark

  2. Yep, I'm totally guilty of loving every show on Bravo just because of the DRAMA that happens! But I'm similar to you, I think I love watching drama because I don't have very much in my own life. Women can really be so cruel to each other... I can never understand why.

  3. I cannot stand the drama with some girls. I have stopped hanging out with so many because of it. I actually had a friend that tried to get with the guy I was going out with at the time. Who does that???!!!

  4. I also went to an all-girls high school so I know drama too.. Luckily I haven't had to deal with any of that for a couple of years so I feel for you!

  5. Reminds me of the latest RH OC when Vickie yells "can't 5 girls just go on a trip without fighting?"

It's inevitable. We love the drama. To be in it or watch it.

    Thank God for bravo.
